世界自然遗产地核心区。总面积38平方公里，是世界上目前唯一发现的地表水冲蚀成因的天坑群，拥有1.5万亩成片的原始森林和3万亩石林，集林、竹、洞、坑等景致于一体，自坑口探视，奇险神秘，自坑底仰望，碧空流云，奇妙无穷，坑内外美景相映成趣。
Tiankeng (karst topography) in Houping is World Natural Heritage Core District of 38 square kilometers, it is the only tiankeng group in the world which caused by surface erosion. It has large primeval forest with 1.5 million square and 3 million square of stone forest, which is combined with the forest, bamboo, cave, pits and other landscapes, For the view of Tiankeng, odd mystery; For the view of bottom Tiankeng , wonderful infinite with blue sky and soft cloud, glimpse of beauty for inside and outside scenery.
